The residential KAUST community has a vibrant culture of domestic pet ownership of both cats and dogs alike.
We in HSE would like to recognize KAUST’s pet friendly culture but to also recognize the health risks and unintended consequences for community animals living in and around our work spaces on campus. The practice of feeding and/or harboring these community animals at the workplace may create such unintended consequences.
Encouraging personal responsibility among all KAUST community members for health and safety is paramount, and we ask that KAUST community members refrain from feeding/harboring cats, dogs, or any pets in/near the workplace. This includes all areas of the campus.
Your attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.
