KAUST Health and Safety Construction Award Program

KAUST Health and Safety Construction Award Program

Published in 26 May, 2021

In June 2019, KAUST Health and Safety kicked off the ‘WANTED: KAUST HSE Safety Champion Award’ program for construction work. Two sets of criteria were developed to encourage contractor companies and individual workers to identify hazards and risks and propose viable solutions to eliminate or mitigate hazards. In so doing, they can take part in the problem-solving process and gain recognition for their efforts, which is highlighted during the monthly Construction and Projects Forum held on the first Sunday of each month. KAUST Health and Safety identifies nominees during monthly inspections as they strive to implement the required criteria.  Monthly winners are eligible for the Annual Safety Award winner and runner-up nominations.  Winners will be announced in January 2020 during an prestigious award ceremony.  For more information, please contact us at healthandsafetymatters@kaust.edu.sa
