The Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) is a safety governance tool that facilitates the implementation of the Health, Safety, and Environment Policy at KAUST, which aids in fostering a safe and healthy place to work, learn and live.
The safety and well-being of personnel in our workplace campus facilities is a top priority. The Health & Safety team has a governing and compliance role to oversee work performed in workplace Campus Facilities. To this end, they oversee work done by service providers and contractors, and all operation and maintenance activities.

We are committed to upholding the highest standards to protect our most precious resources people, the environment and assets, building resilience within KAUST to impact the Kingdom and the world.
The universe is our huge laboratory. Conducting research outside KAUST laboratory premises is considered field research, thus it has certain hazards associated with it. The field research safety program provides a framework to ensure the safety and security of all KAUST researchers; as will a wide variety of resources to help you determine the safety needs of your upcoming field research
KAUST Emergency Management plays a major coordination role between KAUST’s Emergency Services and all other departments, delivering a standardized and best practice approach to manage any emergency incident our community could encounter.
