Overview

With more than 1500 students, faculty, and staff working in our schools, early childhood centers, and daycares, HSE recognizes the importance of extending our resources and, in collaboration with our stakeholders, providing a safe place to learn.


Special attention is given to the activities inside science laboratories, art studios, technology rooms, and design shops. Teachers of these subjects must take a core of safety and health training, i.e., Laboratory Safety, Emergency Incident Preparedness, and Hazardous Waste, before being allowed to use the facilities. Students that use the laboratories and other shops mentioned above are also required to complete this training and other training specific to expected hazards.
